Mavericks will be going into this match with sky high confidence after remaining unbeaten in 4 weeks.

Swee Swee1 FC is the current leader of the league and they have been made favourites to claim the title from Mavericks FC. However, the Outsiders will not give up!

Due to a high demand for KARA's butt-dance, here is the latest music video released yesterday.

No more SNSD videos. For now.

And 1,2,3. Altogether now: "LaLaLaLa! *butt-dance* LaLaLaLa! *butt-dance*

Let's win this week's match. So that when we score, we can do KARA's butt-dance.

Enjoy!

Mavericks FC are poised to remain in their longest unbeaten run since the start of the season.

This saturday, the Outsiders are widely tipped to stretch their unbeaten streak as Rain is expected to come again. He has said, in an external interview, that he enjoyed flooding Singapore and hoped to bring joy to the people.

Ah yes. Our girls are back with another performance.

Notice how eXtReMely HoT the one with jersey no.22 is, ever since she dyed back her hair.

Hence, it has been decided. 22 is our lucky number for this week.

And so, we shall win 22-0 this Saturday!

Evermore so, since we have lost that "losing" feeling due to our Rain-induced hiatus from the pitch.

And therefore, let's set all guns ablazing, and tear down that yellow yellow Star from the sky.

A new dawn awaits, for us all. (And i speak like Obama).

Mavericks Fighting!

Mavericks New Home Kit Season 10/11

Hereby, we are proud to present to you, the new Mavericks Home Kit Season 10/11!

The previous white kit worn by the famous Mavericks FC won them many plaudits. But most importantly, it brought the trophy home. Mavericks FC became League Champions.

However, luck has run out of the seams of its glorious fabric, it seems. The abysmal performances, the indifferent results, the poor defending, the horrid finishing; the despair of recent times . That winning, siege mentality that made the previously infamous white kit of the Outsiders almost untouchable is now past its prime. And so, it is now Time.

The Time has come to change fortunes.

The Time has come to battle the threads of destiny.

The Time has come to write the future.

The Time is Now.

Get your new Mavericks Home Kit Season 10/11 at your nearest Nike retail shops. The new kit features a streamlined designed, with a sweet blend of red and black stripes. The kit also features a modified Mavericks logo, with inverted colours to fit in with the natural feel of victory. Hurry get it now! While stocks last!

Match Abandoned!

Mayflower Stadium - A shocking revelation prematurely ended the big bottom-of-the-table clash between Mavericks FC and AJPL FC today on a rainswept Saturday afternoon.

The Outsiders looked to have gotten their season back on track as they managed to recapture the form that made them the league champions of last season with an efficient performance that gave the long-suffering fans of this great club something to shout about.

The Outsiders, boasting a full array of attacking talent in their ranks, with almost a full squad available, with the exception of skipper Chao Xing and veteran centre-back Chuan Ji, gave a blistering performance of total football. Never has any football team in history been applauded in this way, by both sets of fans, and rightly so, due to this simply sublime artistry on display.

However, things were not meant to be, it seems. In the icy cold pitter-patter of the rain, events turned for the worst. A twist of fate. Events that would shake the very foundations of our beliefs. Events that would bring to fruition, a sense of dread that would inflict the stability, society has come to take for granted in these modern times. What we have come to know as art in its glorious, purest form, was halted. In the brilliance of the raging storm of thunder, football gave way to a lesser medium. A medium of terror, bringing notions of post-apocalyptic fear to us all. The beauty of football was sacrificed. Not for the greater good, but for something else. Something unfathomable. What is this you might ask?

"
Aiyoyo! NO NO NO! You Don't Talk nonsense! I tell my BOSS now then you know! I say the field cannot play, means CANNOT play la! Aiyoyo! Why you like this?! You grandmama never teach you issit! My grand mama from Sri Lanka got teach me manners!

Even Saritha Govinda Sataymilam Sripolindoosamy D/O Rajeshkumari Wijeygoogoonaenae, my next door neighbour in Onde-onde(My Hometown) in Sri Lanka also will believe me when i say field too wet to play. Later i let you all play and the field spoil i kena how? You cannot see the water ar?! The field got alot of water how to play! You don't bluff say your organiser say match not cancel! I say match cancel is mean match cancel!"

Rain: A Weekend Footballer's Nightmare

A beautiful and sunny morning descended into a weekend footballer's nightmare in the afternoon when dark clouds consuming the clear blue skies unleashed their fury upon Singapore.

Heavy showers poured down in most areas last Saturday causing a large number of league games and friendly matches to be called off due to poor pitch conditions.

The correspondence caught sight of a lonely figure sitting dejected outside one of the grounds where the game was called off. The self proclaimed weekend football warrior, his name not revealed by request, spoke freely about his frustrations of having his game cancelled.

"This is real crap. I wait one whole week for my game of football, now the wait continues," he spoke with angst.

"I look forward to the game so much every week. I'm sure many others are like me,devastated," he continued.

"There's no lightning today, why can't they let us carry on with the game? We've been playing in mud since young..."

An unnamed official said, "For fields under the Singapore Sports Council, it is up to the pitch warden to decide if the pitch is in playable conditions. All you need is to play one match on a field in waterlogged conditions and pitch is destroyed until it is returfed again. There is also increased chances for player injury due to the uneven pitch conditions.

4 years running, match cancellations has always been a frustrating experience for the weekend player. It seemed likely that this month will see more rainfall coming down, but it will not dampen the spirits of the Outsiders. It is this month also, that they celebrate their anniversary. That they have come together, bond and shared a common dream that they will achieve together. That this month promises abundance of players, morale, and of course league points.

Team Mavericks has turned 4!
