Why? Why? Why?

We have answers!

Do not believe all the recent match reports.
Mavericks FC didn't win their previous games.
Henceforth, their really outstanding losing run stretches to an amazing 11 games now!!

Here's an award-winning haiku (japanese poem) to tell it all.

~~~~~~~~
Lose blood,
Lose sweat,
Lose money (8 dollars),
Still lose.
~~~~~~~~

This poem was written by General Yamashita of World War II fame, the fella who attacked Singapore during those dark days.

And rightly so, it is an apt description of the trying times the club is going through right now.

Why? Why has this happened?
The players look dejected, downcast, and look lost, whenever they concede a goal.
And thus, simply, they just give up and lose the match.

Kinda like the legendary Newcastle United team of season 08/09.
Why?
Why this mentality?

Do not worry. We have uncovered the truth!

And we have answers!
...........
.....
...
..
.

It is because of Megan Fox.
Yes, her. The hottest thing you've ever seen.
It has been said, that autobot leader, Optimus Prime experienced a weird sensation when she passed by him. And his machinery shortcircuited. Just a whiff of that ultra hotness that is Megan Fox was enough to make Optimus here have an orgasm! Oh my!

And what was the thing that caused the downfall of Mavericks FC in these recent times?

Well, here is why....

Megan Fox is a Man! Oh my goodness!

(Click the above link to see the article!)

Simply shocking, shocking shocking news.
This news could even break the hardest of men.
Even King Leonidas of the Spartans would cry upon hearing this news.

So no one is to be at fault for the club's recent horrendous run of results. Well, maybe except those surgeons who made sex change possible for mankind.

Well, despite the world on the verge of the Second Great Depression once the news has been spread worldwide, there is however, a glowing light at the end of the tunnel.

Since we now know that she's a man.
And seeing that she's into guys.
(Recent news states that she's dating fugly korean singer Rain! See wikipedia!).

That makes her GAY right?

So total yay-ness! yippie!

So being gay is alright! x0x0x0x0x0 =D =P

Mavericks break 9 match winless streak with 4-2 win over Heliocopterre CF

On the verge of becoming the worst football team in football history, Mavericks FC managed to salvage a sliver of footballing competency with a 4-2 victory over Heliocopterre Clube de Futball. Playing without their 2 stars Siangz and Xingz, the Outsiders started off the game on the already on the back foot. For much of the first half and hour, Mavericks were pinned back into their own half, with the defense having trouble dealing with the high jumping sensibilities of Helio's No.10, fat Peter Crouch.

At the 35th min mark, however, Mavericks took the lead totally against the run of play. Taking full advantage of the keeper's old age, winger/clubber Amir deceived the keeper by hitting a free kick towards the near post when the keeper's 75 years of footballing experience told him to pay more attention to the far one.

The 2nd half started much like the first, with Mavericks being made to do most of the chasing. One shining point was the reintroduction of Mavericks midfielder Bob the footballer yes we can who was sidelined for 6 years after injuring himself while celebrating killing a Witch in L4D. The flying boys finally made their domination count in the 55th min when central defender Johnny tall guy who can head very well rose unmarked to head home the equalizer. Helio FC pushed on with an extra spring in their step and took the lead just 2 minutes later when left winger Botak Jones sneaked past his marker Sammyz before slotting the ball home to give his side the lead. Sammyz is currently in trouble with the Mavericks disciplinary committee
on the charges of corrupting the youths of Singapore.

With the tag of worst footballing team ever looming over their heads, the Mavericks suddenly found an extra spark through the laptopless form of Khai. Taking over the spiritual role of the Mavericks captain, Khai drove the team forward with the zest and class of the missing Xingz. Mavericks finally found their equalizer when Seng Yew, recently voted best user of classic Maradonna in Pro Evolution Version 3.16, stepped up to place a free kick past the keeper Paul the pensioner.

With the score at 2-2, it was Mavericks who suddenly were on top of the game, it now seemed inevitable that it was the Outsiders who would find the all important third. Seizing the ball in the 70th min, Mavericks launched a Newcastlesque counter-attack which saw Amir fouled for a penalty. Centerback Chuan Ji seeing his name up in lights stepped up to cooly place the ball into the bottom left hand corner of goal. An onlooker describe the penalty as a shot that could not have been struck any lower. With Mavericks now in the ascendancy, the players played on with a new found confidence and provided wave after wave of attacks. The inevitable fourth came when Amir sidestepped a defender before placing the ball in the bottom corner of the goal.

A prelude to Seven-Seven

July 7 is the 188th day of the year (189th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 177 days remaining until the end of the year.

The terms 7th July, July 7th, and 7/7 (pronounced "Seven-seven") have been widely used in the Western media as a shorthand for the 7 July 2005 bombings on London's transport system. In China, this term is used to denote the Battle of Lugou Bridge started on July 7, 1937, marking the beginning of the Second Sino-Japanese War.

To Team Mavericks especially, it has its own significance too.

Mystery behind Losing Streak.

After much research, Mavericks resident psychologist Professor Alfonso Browndicke, has finally found out the root of the problem regarding the club's most horrid losing streak in recent times. Mr Ji-Sung Park, the Mavericks correspondent interviews him.

Ji-Sung: Now, the moment of truth. Let's cut to the chase. Why is the team losing like nobody's business?

Prof. Browndicke: Here, here. I shall tell ye all where the problem liesz. According to me calculationz, there are 3 main factors to this. I shall listz them down in order of importante.

Ji-Sung: This is interesting. Please continue, Proffy.

Prof. Browndicke: Do notz call me that, korean canine. I am persistent with the fact zat "Boys over Flowers" iz a nice story with enticing plots, but thiz iz no time to show ze lack of the respect youz have shown me you kimchi backside youz.

Now, me research has completed, and I have come down to 3 conclusionsz as to why ze club has beenz lozing. Firstly, there has been too many gay films that haz been producedz by this club, most of it by director Seng Yew. It is too gay I tell youz!

This has affected the team's style of play. This culminated with the shocking number of yellow cardz ze team was given in last week's match! As youz can seez, discrimination is clearly at work here, as ze referee hates gays! And hence, the 6 yellow cardz Mavericks FC players got!!

Secondly, the "helicopter" problem. It hasz affected ze club immensely. Moral has been below the acceptable level in recent weeks. It has been hard for ze club to come to terms with this. Nowz, nowz, it iz time i tell youz.

It iz time for those responsible for thiz term to come out and tellz ze whole world about it. Later, Chris "Sammy Boy" will come up and explain to youz everythingz about the infamouz "helicopter" move once and for all!

Lastly, simply, it is ze gay song that has been playing on ze team's website. Watz ziz song by Corrine May, "Ze Answer?" We must have Britney Spears! And hence all, it iz I who have given you the explainations for the team's losing streak.

I believe thesez problemz will be rectified! Me have done the best me could! Losing streak no morez I tell youz! No morez!

Prof. Alfonso Browndicke has been recently brought into the club to do research on team Maverick's recent horrid run, as well as to change things around at the club. Prof. Browndicke has a doctorate in sports psychology and a master's degree in kama sutra.

He was also the man behind the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid; applying positive kinesiology on Sir Alex Ferguson to brainwash him and let his favourite player go. Also, Prof. Browndicke was also in the hotel suite with Ronaldo and Paris Hilton, having a threesome, playing the game
Twister.

Shocking News!

Stade de Sembawang Reception Centre - In a shocking turn of events, the Mavericks Owner has decided to put the club up for sale. This comes after the Outsiders' disastrous winless run which has stretched for a staggering 8 games. The Outsiders' last dated victory was a 5-2 trouncing of Woodlandsvista FC in the league last season.

This was a cause for alarm, especially since the Outsiders have lost 4 of their last 5 matches. Under the surmounting pressure, the Owner has called for a last-minute press conference to announce her decision and has put the club back on the market and is desperate for a sale as soon as possible.

Despite the club's stature, she may still find it difficult to find a buyer at a good price in the current market conditions.

She told the Sunday Times: "It has been catastrophic for everybody. We've lost too many matches, I've lost my money and I've made terrible decisions. I tried my best. But I accept my best wasn't enough. I am genuinely sorry for everybody about what has happened.''

"The club's best asset has been, is and always will be the fans,'' he said. "But like any business with assets, the club has debts. There was already that huge debt we owed when I took over the club," referring to the £70m debt from the transfer of portuguese full-back Jeremiah when the previous owners bought him to shore up the defence. However, the player played only 2 games for the club before deciding to retire from football. The signing was listed at #2 in the Top 10 worst business deals of the century in Forbes Magazine .

Reports suggests that several different consortia were provided with prospectuses outlining details of the club's financial standing, with groups from Vietnam and Africa having been linked with buy-out bids.

Insider information has also revealed that the Vietnamese consortium linked with the club's possible takeover is made up of several stuntmen on set of the recently produced epic war movie, Viet-numb. Retired referee Charles has also expressed his interest in buying over the club.

More updates coming soon.

The Outsiders are fresh from surviving a hardcore, battling 0-0 draw against a bunch of tenacious, childish uncles last weekend, as the match had to be abandoned with 10 minutes to go.

The referee called the match off after things went out of hand, and as usual, flamboyant winger Amir was on the painful end of yet another uncle-punch/kick/slam/smash.

Midfield general Kee Siang and several other Mavericks players were involved in the clashes with those damn uncles, and we now know why those uncles sent their wives and children away before the match started! They were looking for a fight! Needless to say, we really can't find a peaceful co-existence with team uncles and their like. Must be the word "friendly match" ain't in their vocab. Oh well.

However, the Outsiders can breathe a sigh of relief for this weekend's match, as this time, opponents are Faizy's friends, so we'd expect a tough, competitive, but FRIENDLY match.

Finally. A friendly, friendly, friendly match. Let's have a lil' bit of history shall we?

Team BBR or Team Bawah Block Rangers (a.k.a. Team "Void-deck" Rangers) were Midzi's and Faizy's old clubs, before Mavericks FC snapped them up on free transfers. With quality players such as these two, we are sure in for a tough fight with the team that made these two players the players they are today. Nevertheless, after back-to-back violent matches, it's about team we get to really enjoy a proper, competitive, but friendly match.

But that's not an excuse to douse the flames of fire and passion the Outsiders show week in week out (well, maybe except against Rantau FC) for this match. It's high time we get our first victory for this season, cause, frankly speaking, at this rate we're going, Newcastle United looks like a damn good team. It's time, comrades. It's time to tackle like Paul Scholes (figuratively speaking, of course) and have fun and win matches!

In other news, several Mavericks players namely, Clement, Chuan Ji, Chin Yuen and Alex have been chosen to endorse the Puma brand for this upcoming season 09/10, and they will be showcased in an upcoming Puma TV commercial alongside EPL top scorer Nicolas Anelka.

This will no doubt put Mavericks FC on the footballing world map, and coupled by their superb performances in the recent gay film by director Seng Yew,
"I Helicopter-Love You Long Time", it would generate even more revenue for the club, and reduce the tendency of the club's owner to have further shady dealings with the Yakuzas and Triads in the Taiwanese underworld.

Great Success!
