Guideline for Playmaker
Update your particulars & contact info
First, you will update your email contact with the central database which is in the form of an online google document. The link to the online google document was sent out to everyone some weeks ago. Upon receiving the edits, I will do the updates on footballopod manually.
Alternatively, you may create your own account and tag yourself to the team so that you can edit your own online player profile. I will not provide further details to that in this post.
Receive match invite

Each week, your will receive an automated email from football opod with the title: "PlayMaker: Fixture attendance confirmation" (note this screenshot is taken from a gmail account).
Make sure you add this to your safe list so that it will not go into the junkmail folder.
I understand not everyone check their email every day but from today onwards, I expect you to log in just once a week. I will fix a day every week for match invites to sent out, so that everyone knows exactly when to check their email.
For everyone's convenience, a few has been working behind the scenes, manually monitoring and updating the attendance on the blog so that everyone can view at a glance. Kudos to them but now the process will be automated and monitored by playmaker. This is one of the main advantages and convenience playmaker brings.
Accept Match Invite
Once you open the email, please click on your choice, "I am attending" or I am NOT attending" and a new internet explorer window will pop up and you should see a message saying, "Your response has been processed.". Once that is completed, your name will be taken off the "Yet to respond" list.
Otherwise you will be deemed as having not responded to game invites. The system may or may not automatically remove an inactive player from the automated mailing system. So there is a chance that you may not receive match invites if you fail to respond too many times consecutively.
Further Support
At the moment, discussions are ongoing with the technical staff from footballopod regarding the entire service. SMS notification will not be available yet but I have already indicated interest in subscribing the service (it's not free btw) so that everyone has the option to either respond via email or sms.
If you are unable to check your email or could not respond to the match invite (due to connectivity issues), please contact me directly at my handphone (sms preferred as nature of my current job doesn't allow me to respond immediately). If you don't already have my number, ask anyone in the team for it.
If you need further technical assistance, please email directly to mavericksfc@gmail.com
