Here, we bring u another edition of The Outsiders Times, YOUR only source of news for Mavericks FC and everything else associated with the club.
Scorer: Kee Siang ('17)
Assist: Khai
A definitive result, and a rather hugely disappointing one for the Outsiders in a match they should have grabbed all the 3 points. It was a hot-blooded match, as usual, with both sides tearing at each other, and once again, decisions went against the men in white, for what looked like a double-handball by the opponent's attackers in the run-up to their equalising goal. The Outsiders had to thank midfield general Kee Siang once again, with another vintage performance, and classic solo goal from the Mavericks no 7. A brawl broke out, following a late, late challenge on custodian Alex, to which an opponent player commented that it was a case of play-acting as the keeper was clearly writhing in pain on the ground. A glaring case of "WTF", that's for sure. A clash of words ensued, and the referee decided to take things into his own hand, and blew for the final whistle, bringing a premature end to what was a tempestuous match.
A bitter day indeed, for us all.
Mavericks correspondent Mr. Lemon was at the event and has gladly provided on-the-spot commentary for the club and its fans in this video reel above. The Mavericks Owner was back in town on Friday evening, to promote her latest drama, "ToGetHer" in a showcase event. The event was delayed for about 90 minutes, much to the chagrin of the audiences, who were mostly made up of girls, and the host for the day, DJ Peifen was having a hard time trying to stop people from going off. Clearly, not a good start in the drama's quest for high viewership ratings! Haha.
News from sources state that the delay was caused by one of the Owner's co-stars, who had misplaced his passport, and therefore the crew missed the scheduled timing for the plane to Singapore. And it wasn't a good thing as well, due to the shortened duration of the event, to a measly 16minutes. However, it was one that was well worth it, although the Owner was clearly not feeling well, due to her voice being not "on-form" that day, because she seemed to have a sore throat, which explains her voice being unusually not-so-cute. But she's still kawaii, nonetheless. Haha.
