League Registration Information

To my fellow Outsiders,

I am glad that the league proposal was supported by a good number of committed players today after the well-fought victory against Bedok Blues. To ease Clement's increasing burden (who has been organising matches for us in the past 2 years f.o.c), we decided that the best alternative is to pay a little more for a third party organisation to continue to bring us weekend soccer with an extra competitiveness involved. We'll begin in the lower leagues, as a debutant in amateur league football, and we'll work our way up based on performance.

We have a tight budget to work with, and as a student myself, I understand some potential concerns half the team may have. So we are very fortunate to clinch an affordable shirt deal through Chin Yuen. We'll standardise the top and bottom of our jersey as one team for this league. If the shorts deal does not fit our budget, we'll probably only standardise the colour of the shorts.

For the others who have not yet gotten the news, here are some of the details given to me by Clement,

League start: 3 Jan 2009, 3pm, Saturday
Cost per match: $100 (we currently pay $90 per game arranged by a referee, of which, $60 is for referee fees)
Cost per pax: $8
Deposit for 1st 2 matches: $200 (to be paid upfront)
Squad size (total registered): 20
Squad size (match day): 15
Cost of new jersey top: $9/pax (Tentatively selected to be a light colour)
