End of break?

Hey guys, as you all know, we are taking a break for a few weeks due to it being the examinations period.

Pls indicate which weekend you prefer to kick off again. If you are able to play every week or so, pls state it so we can add you to the tally.

No past meeting between these 2 sides. And Mavericks have been dealth with another blow with the possibility of losing flamboyant winger Amir to long term international duty. This is another major casualty after the departure of Zhi Fei to Taiwan for overseas training (and also to establish Taiwanese girls fanclub for Mavericks FC and for himself!).

Can Randy be able to step up and fill the scoring boots which Zhi Fei & Amir so frequently provided before? Or can anyone else replace the void that? Maybe a new signing may be necesary to add more firepower upfront..

Mavericks are going into some slump in form of the season with 2 losses and 1 draw in the last 3 matches. This time going down to Jasper Super Reds when the whiteblues could have done better against the opposition where they dumped them 6-1 in a training match.

JSRFC proved that they are in no training mood this time round, as they lined up some of their real starting line-up players. One of them was jersey no 3, who marshalled his team midfield well and scored the second goal.

The first goal was from a corner when Mavericks did not managed to clear the ball off in several attempts resulting in a JSRFC player putting the ball into the goal. Mavericks need to buck in their next match against the Indonesian opposition and get their winning ways back! Concentration is the key and we must not be complacent! More team work and communication has to show and centre midfield really neeed to ensure the defence is not exposed all the time as shown in this match up against JSRFC.

Mavericks were unlucky not to win in this fixture despite taking a 2-0 lead at 73mins. A penalty was earned by Randy himself and he duely converted, blasting the ball into the net. It was the goal celebration that caught the eye of the audience though, with a Lua Lua similar somersault. Do take care as Lua Lua got injured before while doing that.

The second goal was really a good one. Great counter attack. Ball was won by the defence and was passed to playmaker Wei Jie who layed off for Chung Wei on the right. He released a first time cross into the penalty box and an incoming Randy headed the ball acrobatically towards goal. And of course the Goal Celebration.

Despite being in the driving seat, Mavericks was outdone by a penalty scored by Insert FC in the 82nd min and a free kick resulted in a goal let Mavericks' fans disppointed yet again.

Rematch with Super Reds?

Hey people, Super Reds is jioing us for a rematch on this coming sunday. Anyone keen?
This time round there will be a referee and they will be with their full squad. Maybe we can choose between YCK and fernvale??
