Could our time have become so disenchanted that it no longer concerns itself with the questions of meaning , but only calculates very practical , instrumental results ? We faced nothingness , and the ways we are encouraged only seeks to furthur remove us from a saving confrontation with our plight . It would have tobe this very existential situation to wake a King from the deepest of slumbers .Like as a footballing gadfly questioning the very motivations of his troops , he jolted and rocked them out of their very own dogmatic slumbers . It was only fitting that it was to be his heir apparent who would drag the team out of the depths of an abyss . Reports speak of a left footed free kick bent into the far post , yet to say that would be to miss the point . This was symptomatic of a man unshackled by the chains that bounded Prometheus . Looking back to the ideals of the Heraclitic traditions , the pretender to the crown fashioned himself as he would fashion all man . " Conquer yourself as you would conquer the world and let not others do what i can do . " For what is man but the sum of his actions . The Red Marxist hordes never ceased their tides of offense and went in front again . They remained so till the dragon entered and brought balance and parity back to the game . TWO - TWO . Boom Boom , Shake the Room .

Mavericks FC were held to a tough 2-2 draw with a stubborn Red Team on Saturday after high-octane matchwhich amassed a total of 24 fouls, which included a sending-off of the Red Team no. 8 who got a second-yellow card after a series of brutal tackles on the Mavericks midfield pairing of Kee Siang and Seng Yew.
The Red Team took the lead against the run of play after a cross from a corner-kick was not cleared as it eventually fell to the Red Team captain who smashed home a low shot past custodian Alex from outside the box. The Outsiders, however, got a deserved equalizer from a free-kick from winger Amir, after captain Chao Xing was brought down at the right edge of the box after a lung-bursting run. Amir stepped up and whipped in a fine left-footed curler which evaded everyone (including Jiun Wei, who tried to get a touch to it but nearly hit the post himself) and dipped into the top left-hand corner of the net to even things out. The Mavericks had the better share of possession in the first half as it ended 1-1.
The second half saw veteran defender Chuan Ji returning to the line-up to partner Mike in defence. The Red Team appeared the more dangerous after coming out from the tunnel for the second half, thrice threatening the Mavericks defence, only to be denied by outstanding saves from custodian Alex, who was in his usual inspired form. However, the Red Team eventually got their second goal, after a defensive mix-up as the Mavericks seemed to have buckled under the intense pressure. However, it was not to be their day, as striker Wei Long capped off a brilliant move following a long throw-in from full-back Clement, as he bored down on goal, beating 2 defenders, before coolly slotting it past the keeper to make things level again, sending the Mavericks faithful in the rafters into jubilation. Only injuries to Seng Yew and Randy hampered a potential Mavericks win, but nevertheless, it was a point gained, not two points lost.
Final Score 2-2.
