Team Uncles, the opponents whom Mavericks FC has had the most head-to-head encounters with, seeks revenge for the an earlier defeat this Saturday at Yio Chu Kang. Mavericks' most familiar opponents should have the home advantage in this match.

Meanwhile, Mavericks' influential centre-back, Chuan Ji's fitness has been cast into doubt after falling prey to a virus a few days ago. Players like Faizy or Hisham is set to take over his role should he not recover in time for the match. Team Mavericks' 4-3-3 formation may yet be employed again as attacking midfielder Kee Siang's services will be unavailable yet again in this match. Players who shone in previous 2 matches like Amir and Boon Leng will be also out due to international duty and hence it's time for other players to step into their positions and shine. On top of that, captain Chao Xing will most likely miss the upcoming clash. His recent performances on the field has been nothing short of magical as he conjures up 2 assists and a goal which he cheekily scored lobbing over the keeper outside the penalty area, while bagging a man-of-the-match award in the previous 2 games. Chao Xing's motivation and commanding presence, which is a constant driving force for his players on the pitch, will definitely be missed should he not be able to make it for the match.
