Any good ideas for our end of year party plans? Clement would like a short getaway to "Bangcock" or M'sia. I would also consider Batam/Bintan as possible choices also. Overseas partying sounds not bad.
And Jiun Wei wants a party of his own for his birthday, to celebrate him turning a quarter-century old! Of course we are not forgetting the rest of the Dec babies. Got who else ah? Own up!
Hey guys, it's bad news but I still wish a speedy recovery to our new signing, Shi Jie, who will undergo surgery to repair his ankle and is likely to miss out on our remaining fixtures for the rest of the year.

Braddel-Upon-WestLakeshire - The Outsiders made their critics eat their words after last week's no-show with a devastating away drubbing of The Melayu Veterans FC on a hot scorching afternoon last Saturday.
An epic 35-yard free-kick by cultured centre-back Seng Yew inspired the Outsiders to a 4-0 thrashing of their relatively experienced opponents.
Despite early pressure, the tables were turned once the men in white got their passing rhythm right, and it wasn't long, till they eventually broke the deadlock after a brilliant piece of switching play from Chung Wei.
Mavericks midfield maverick Kee Siang, revelling in his more advanced role playing in the hole behind the striker (Amir's hole to be exact), cut pass two before releasing Darran on the left flank with a deft through-ball in which the winger lapped up with glee, before rounding the keeper and slotting it into the net. Brillianto Goal! 1-0.
Then, the impressive Wei Jie, was brought down outside of the box, and up stepped the legendary free-kick master Seng Yew. His curling free-kick dipped sweetly and sharply past the keeper into the top right corner of the net. 2-0.
Magnifique! Mammamia! Omelette du Fromage! A truly magnificent free-kick, but the muted celebration by Seng Yew left many in the stands in bewilderment.
Many theories have been given regarding his unorthodox celebration. A source close to the referee mentioned that he did not celebrate his goal, as a form of respect for the owner of the field who is currently in coma.
Others brought into attention the fact that he was just acting damn cool coz according to his best friend and ex-gay partners Chris and Clement, Seng Yew thinks he has scored too many of these kind of goals that it's not a surprise anymore.
New gay couple Darran and Shi Jie, who made their relationship public last week, gave their own views. They felt that Seng Yew is just plain jealous of their sweet, sweet love.
Anyway, despite a few close shaves, and with the agile and ever reliable Alex in top form once again, the men in green could not get past the Mavericks defence.
Mavericks FC extended their lead with another brilliant interplay, this time with Chin Yuen putting out a superb cross-field ball to the on-fire Darran, who crossed it into the box brilliantly for Leon to smash it past the keeper!
Leon has been a revelation since he joined the club, hitting goals with such unerring regularity! 3-0.
With the opponents losing their grip of the game, Mavericks FC completed the rout, this time, with the tireless Faizy squaring it into Amir's path, who took one sweet touch which sent himself clear past the last man. The Mavericks no.14 made no mistake in the one-on-one and slotted it into the net.
Despite some scares, and seriously unreliable finishing from their tired opponents, the Mavericks backline, led by the superb Shi Jie and company held on for the clean sheet. Final Score 4-0.

Mavericks 2 - 2 Team Bluez Khai ('30) , Leon ('57)

Despite a spirited gameplay, and a tightly sealed rumour (to prevent pre-match morale drop) that opposing team had former S-league players, Mavericks still managed to throw away a 2 goal lead to draw with the Blues.
The Blues defended well and had much possession in the first half as they took a physical approach to the game. Most of the smaller-sized Outsiders were outmuscled and outchallenged for headers, but it was the tenacious Outsiders who looked the more dangerous in the game.
Several players showed class in their match display, with the attention turned to Faizy.
Midfielder Faizy's man-of-the-match performance seem to be hinting a permanent partnership in midfield with Wei Jie, as the duo showed mutual understanding and dominated the midfield with several key passes and challenges.
Still, despite the positives, lack of concentration and probably pitch conditions caused Mavericks to make 2 key errors to throw away the lead they worked so hard for.
Who to watch for the next game? The one who leads the goal-scoring charts and still scores more regularly than any other Outsider - flamboyant forward Amir.

*Hello we are still in the testing stages and I hope the new system has brought more benefits than inconveniences so far. Please feel free to come and tell me if you have difficulties/concerns with this new system. I appreciate every constructive feedback. *My apologies. A server gateway timeout caused a wrong game to be saved. (that wrong game was scheduled to kickoff at 29 Sep!) LOL. I can't delete it a "past" match but I've posted a comment in that game itself, but not here. An overlook on my part. I've seen Jake's response on that game already. So there are no major errors from the response posting. I will continue to monitor how it goes. Let's review this system after trying out one or two more games. Thanks for the support so far.
